AEC works with students from Mangaluru and coastal Karnataka applying to universities abroad. Counselling is online, the first profile evaluation is free, and we have placed more than 8,000 Karnataka students since 2008. Engineering and nursing graduates from this region are among the groups we work with most often.
Mangaluru is about 350km from our Bengaluru office β an overnight bus or a one-hour flight. Coastal students almost always complete the entire process online, travelling to Bengaluru only for visa biometrics.
Coastal Karnataka produces a large number of nursing graduates, and the routes abroad differ sharply from engineering. Registration bodies, English test requirements and recognition rules vary by country, and Germany's route in particular requires language certification rather than just IELTS. Ask specifically about this β a generalist checklist will not serve you.
Students from NITK Surathkal and Manipal usually have strong enough profiles for competitive scholarships, which are worth planning around deliberately rather than applying for as an afterthought.
Germany, France, Italy and most Schengen visa appointments for Karnataka applicants are handled at the VFS centre in Bengaluru, and the German Consulate General for South India sits in Chennai. UK and Canada biometrics are also collected in Bengaluru. From Mangaluru, most students combine the appointment with a short Bengaluru trip.
Applying from a college that isn't listed changes nothing β these are simply the institutions we see most often from Mangaluru.

Yes, and most do. Counselling, applications, SOP work and loan guidance are all handled online. The only in-person step is the visa appointment, which happens in Bengaluru for every Karnataka applicant.
Germany is the most common choice because public universities charge no tuition fee, which matters when the total budget is the deciding factor. Ireland and the Netherlands are the usual alternatives for those wanting an English-taught course with post-study work rights.
