Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the Terms and Conditions of Abroad Education Counsel (AEC). These terms outline the commitments, responsibilities, and expectations between you (the student) and us Abroad Education Counsel (AEC). By engaging with our services, you acknowledge and accept these terms, which govern our collaboration.

We encourage you to read through these terms carefully, as they form the foundation of our professional relationship and ensure mutual understanding.

Services Provided

AEC provides guidance and assistance with university applications, admission processes, visa applications, and other related services for students seeking education abroad. Services include, but are not limited to, university selection, application assistance, and documentation review.

Student Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate and timely information required for your application process, including academic records, test scores, and personal details. You are responsible for the timely submission of all required documents as per deadlines communicated by AEC or the universities.

Payment Terms

AEC charges a registration fee, which must be paid in full before services commence. This fee is subject to the terms outlined in our Refund Policy. Any additional fees for processing, visa assistance, or other services must be paid as per the agreed schedule.

Refund Policy

Students may cancel services within 24 hours of paying the registration fee, provided the enrollment form has not been signed. After signing the enrollment form or receiving the university list, no refunds will be issued, as detailed in our Refund Policy. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed as per the Refund Policy and will be returned to the original mode of payment.

Service Limitations

AEC does not guarantee admission to any specific institution, program, or country. We provide guidance based on our expertise, but final admissions decisions are at the discretion of the respective universities or institutions. Visa approvals are subject to the discretion of the immigration authorities. AEC cannot guarantee visa issuance, but we will provide complete guidance to maximize success.

Withdrawal and Cancellation

You may withdraw your registration within 15 days of the registration date, subject to the terms outlined in our Refund Policy. Any withdrawal after the 15-day period, or after receiving university recommendations, is subject to a cancellation fee and forfeiture of any fees paid.

Confidentiality

AEC is committed to protecting your personal information. All data shared with us will be handled with strict confidentiality and will only be shared with universities or third-party services as required for your application.

Managing Expectations for University Rankings

As part of our dedication to offering transparent and effective consultancy services, it’s important to establish realistic expectations about university rankings. While we provide guidance and support throughout the application process, we encourage students to take an in-depth approach in evaluating universities beyond rankings alone.

Selection of Program Interest / Specialization

At Abroad Education Counsel (AEC), we stress the importance of identifying your preferred course or specialization during counseling sessions. This is essential for us to offer tailored guidance throughout the consultancy process. You will be required to finalize your course or specialization choice during the session, as the enrollment form will be signed and processed based on that selection. While course titles may vary across institutions, we encourage students to focus on the content of the course modules rather than just the title when making their decision.

Deferment Limit

The deferment terms are outlined in the package details, and students should review them to understand the eligibility criteria, limits, and procedures. These conditions depend on the policies of the respective universities and may vary by package. If the deferment limit is exceeded, reapplication may be necessary as specified in the package. A deferral fee will also be charged by Abroad Education Counsel (AEC).

Travel Arrangements

Abroad Education Counsel (AEC) offers guidance on travel arrangements but does not handle or facilitate bookings. Students are responsible for managing their own travel plans, which will be subject to the terms of the respective travel providers. AEC is not liable for any issues or discrepancies related to the student’s travel arrangements.

Budget Estimation

Abroad Education Counsel (AEC) provides guidance on budget planning, but unforeseen factors, such as rising tuition fees or currency exchange fluctuations, may require adjustments. It’s important to remain flexible and prepared to revise your budget accordingly.

Post Admission Formalities: Students are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the post-admission process and enrollment-related communications. This involves, but is not limited to, submitting required documents, completing necessary forms, attending orientation sessions, and adhering to deadlines established by the university or relevant authorities.

Accommodation: AEC offers limited assistance with accommodation matters. While we provide advice and recommendations, securing suitable housing is the student’s responsibility. We can offer general information and connect you with resources, but all decisions regarding accommodation selection, agreements, and arrangements are up to the student.

Confidentiality: AEC is committed to maintaining the utmost confidentiality of the student’s personal and academic information, using it solely for the purpose of providing our services.

Limitation of Liability: AEC is not liable for any losses, damages, or liabilities arising from the student’s decisions or actions related to education, travel, or other matters. This includes, but is not limited to, external timelines, visa processing, or third-party services. Our limitation of liability extends to any consequences resulting from processes, timelines, or services outside of our direct control.

Unforeseen Events: In the event of unavoidable circumstances, such as pandemics, shutdowns, or other unforeseen events that may impact visa availability or university admissions, students are expected to be understanding and cooperative. During these times, it is crucial for students to work closely with AEC to explore alternative options, adjust their expectations, and remain actively engaged in the visa application and admissions processes. This collaboration is key to achieving the best possible outcomes despite unexpected challenges.

Amendments: AEC retains the right to modify or update the terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. The most up-to-date version will be published on the AEC website.

Other Services: Abroad Education Counsel (AEC) provides additional services, such as education loan assistance, IELTS registration and training, and forex services, exclusively for students affiliated with AEC through our partnered service providers. While we facilitate access to these services, students maintain full control over their decisions. Any quotes, fees, or services offered by these partners are the responsibility of the providers and the students.
